HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Colette M. Kubiesa on the 
4occasion of her retirement from the Elmhurst Park District 
5Board of Park Commissioners; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Colette Kubiesa was first elected to the Elmhurst 
7Park District Board of Commissioners in 1997 and served for 18 
8years until her retirement on April 22, 2015; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, During Colette Kubiesa's tenure as a Park 
10Commissioner, she held the offices of President and 
11Vice-President of the Board; she also  served on the Elmhurst 
12Art Museum Board and on several committees; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Colette Kubiesa was instrumental in helping the 
14Elmhurst Park District in promoting and attaining several 
15initiatives that saw the park district grow and receive both 
16State and national recognition for its operations and 
17sustainabilty; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, In 2013, Colette Kubiesa was recognized by the 
19Illinois Association of Park Districts as its Commissioner of 
20the Year; and

1    WHEREAS, Colette Kubiesa has given countless hours to the 
2park district and recreation movement in Elmhurst and the 
3State; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate Colette M. Kubiesa on her retirement from the 
7Elmhurst Park District Board of Park Commissioners and wish her 
8the best in all her future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Colette Kubiesa as an expression of our esteem and 
11respect.
