HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Nathan S. Olsen of Dakota 
4Junior & Senior High School on winning the 2015 Illinois High 
5School Association (IHSA)  Class 1A 138-Pound State Wrestling 
6Championship; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Nathan Olsen compiled a record of 39 wins and 5 
8loses on his way to the championship; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, In 2013, Nathan Olsen placed sixth at the IHSA  
10Class 1A 138-Pound State Wrestling Championship tournament; in 
112014,
he placed third in the Freshman-Sophomore State Wrestling 
12Championship tournament; he placed 3rd at the National 
13Tournament in the Wisconsin Dells in 2014; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Nathan Olsen began his wrestling career in middle 
15school with the junior wrestling program, the
Illinois Kids 
16Wrestling Federation; in addition to
wrestling, he has spent 
17the last 3 years playing football for Dakota High School; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Nathan Olsen is a part of the Varsity Club and he 
19works part time at a restaurant in
his area making pizza; in 
20his free time, he enjoys fishing, swimming, hunting, and 
21four-wheeling; and

1    WHEREAS, Nathan Olsen is looking at several colleges for 
2the future with plans to major in the
field of engineering; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate Nathan S. Olsen on winning the 2015 Illinois High 
7School Association Class 1A 138-Pound State Wrestling 
8Championship; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Nathan Olsen as an expression of our esteem and 
11respect.
