HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Gail Goles on the occasion 
4of her retirement as Executive Director for the Gladstone Park 
5Chamber of Commerce; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Gail Goles has been a dedicated member of the 
7Gladstone Park Chamber of Commerce for nearly 20 years; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Gail Goles wrote and designed the monthly 
9newsletter, organized the successful "Kids Fest", managed 
10community garage sales, and spearheaded the "Family Pet Fair 
11and Parade"; she also ran the Northwest Golf Open and promoted 
12the lamppost banner program; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Gail Goles coordinated coloring contests and 
14business fairs and helped the business community connect with 
15residents during the holidays; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Gail Goles recruited new members to the Chamber 
17and raised thousands of dollars for scholarship programs; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Gail Goles has become the "face" of the Gladstone 
19Park Chamber of Commerce and helped turn it into an important 
20resource for local businesses; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3congratulate Gail Goles on her retirement as Executive Director 
4for the Gladstone Park Chamber of Commerce and wish her the 
5best in all her future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Gail Goles as an expression of our esteem and 
8respect.
