| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Christopher Judge on | ||||||
| 4 | obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of | ||||||
| 5 | America; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Christopher Judge joined scouting as a Tiger Cub | ||||||
| 7 | and completed the Cub Scout program by earning the highest | ||||||
| 8 | rank, the Arrow of Light Award; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Christopher Judge joined Boy Scouts of America | ||||||
| 10 | Troop 303 of Grayslake in February of 2008; he earned merit | ||||||
| 11 | badges, held various positions of responsibility, including | ||||||
| 12 | patrol leader, and completed the requirements that allowed him | ||||||
| 13 | to advance through the ranks of Scout, Tenderfoot, Second | ||||||
| 14 | Class, First Class, Star, and Life; during this time, he was | ||||||
| 15 | elected by his fellow scouts to become a member of the Order of | ||||||
| 16 | the Arrow, an honorary group for those who exemplify scouting's | ||||||
| 17 | values; he completed his Ordeal and is a Brotherhood member; | ||||||
| 18 | and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, In early 2014, Christopher Judge joined Troop 96 | ||||||
| 20 | of Grayslake; his Eagle Scout project was to stop electronic | ||||||
| 21 | waste from being improperly discarded and to educate the | ||||||
| 22 | community about the village's recycling site; after completing | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | all of the requirements, including earning over 21 merit | ||||||
| 2 | badges, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout on February 3, 2015; | ||||||
| 3 | and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, In addition to his scouting experiences, | ||||||
| 5 | Christopher Judge has achieved the Illinois State Scholar | ||||||
| 6 | accreditations based on academic merit; he also is active with | ||||||
| 7 | his high school athletics program, serving as a member of the | ||||||
| 8 | Student Athlete Leadership Team; he has served as Captain of | ||||||
| 9 | the boys JV tennis team and played on the Varsity team when | ||||||
| 10 | they won the division; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Christopher Judge works part-time and is | ||||||
| 12 | completing college coursework as he finishes his senior year of | ||||||
| 13 | high school; he plans to attend Iowa State University to earn a | ||||||
| 14 | computer science degree and to one day become a Computer | ||||||
| 15 | Security Analyst; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 17 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 18 | congratulate Christopher Judge on obtaining the rank of Eagle | ||||||
| 19 | Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and wish him the best in | ||||||
| 20 | all his future endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 21 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 22 | presented to Christopher Judge as an expression of our esteem | ||||||
