| 2 | | WHEREAS, Arthur "Kent" Rich was born in Libertyville on |
| 3 | | March 25, 1931 to Elmer and Ruth (nee Anderson) Rich; he was a |
| 4 | | lifelong resident of Grayslake and graduated from Grayslake |
| 5 | | High School; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Kent Rich spent his career with School District |
| 7 | | 96; he taught 7th and 8th grade math and science and later |
| 8 | | became principal; he ended his career as Director of Facilities |
| 9 | | and Transportation; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Kent Rich served on the Grayslake Library Board of |
| 11 | | Trustees for 42 years, beginning in 1970; he was a founding |
| 12 | | member of the local Jaycees and served on the Gray's Lake |
| 13 | | Management Committee for over 20 years; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Kent Rich was considered by many to be a local |
| 15 | | historian who everyone went to with questions and for |
| 16 | | information; therefore, be it
|
| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 18 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 19 | | recognize the life of Arthur "Kent" Rich and the impact he had |
| 20 | | on the Grayslake community; and be it further
