HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Meridian High School 
4boys basketball team, the Bobcats,  on a successful 2014-2015 
5season; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Bobcats finished as the Class 1A State 
7runner-up after falling to Brimfield High School in a close 
8game 56 to 52; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The Bobcats fell behind by 12 points during the 
10championship game and nearly pulled out a comeback victory; and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, The Bobcats compiled a season record of 27 wins 
12and 8 losses to reach the championship game; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS,  The Bobcats are coached by Erik Griffin; the 
142014-2015 season was his first year back as a high school boys 
15basketball head coach since the 1991-1992 season at his alma 
16mater, Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
19congratulate the Meridian High School boys basketball team, the 
20Bobcats, on a successful 2014-2015 season and wish them many

1more successful years; and be it further
  
 
2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
3presented to the Bobcats as an expression of our esteem and 
4respect.
