HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of Little Friends on the occasion of the organization's 50th anniversary in 2015; and

WHEREAS, Little Friends is a non-profit organization that has served children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities since 1965; the organization has made astounding progress with many of their clients due to the efforts of their exceptional staff, their innovative programs and services, and their genuine joy of helping others to find their way; and

WHEREAS, Little Friends believes that everyone should have the opportunity for a full life in their own community with meaningful work, their choice in living arrangements and education, strong relationships, fun, and laughter; and

WHEREAS, Little Friends has provided 5 decades of unparalleled service through 11 dynamic programs, including 3 alternative schools, family support and consultation services, vocational training programs, community-based residential services, and the Little Friends Center for Autism; and

WHEREAS, Little Friends serves more than 800 people each year throughout DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Will, and western Cook counties; the organization has always been in tune with the needs of the community and has continued to evolve, consistently introducing new and dynamic programs and services; their dedicated staff has worked tirelessly to stay up-to-date with the most cutting-edge therapies and learning techniques; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Little Friends on the occasion of the organization's 50th anniversary and wish the organization and its members continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Little Friends as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
