HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Cpt. Donald Buckley on the 
4occasion of his retirement from the Illinois State Police (ISP) 
5on May 1, 2015; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Cpt. Buckley joined ISP Cadet Class 87 on January 
729, 1990; he graduated on June 15, 1990 and was assigned to ISP 
8District 21; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Cpt. Buckley transferred to ISP District 9 on 
10January 16, 1992; he was promoted to Sergeant on March 16, 
111996, to Master Sergeant on August 16, 1997, to Lieutenant on 
12October 16, 2002, and to Captain on June 16, 2007; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, During Cpt. Buckley's 25 years as a State Trooper, 
14he served on the Tactical Response Team, where he was given the 
15nickname "Mouse"; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Cpt. Buckley held  the positions of State Police 
17Academy Commander, Lieutenant Colonel of Division of Internal 
18Investigation, and Colonel of the Division of Operations; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Cpt. Buckley is proud the be an Illinois State 
20Trooper and a semper fidelis member of the United States Marine

1Corps; he served in the Marines from 1985 to 1989, where he was 
2a Game Warden at Marine Corp Air Station Cherry Point for 2 
3years; he reached the rank of E-5 of the USMC Combat Engineer 
4Battalion; he is married to Tammee, and they have 3 children, 
5Nicole, Erin, and Cara; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8congratulate Cpt. Donald Buckley on his retirement from the 
9Illinois State Police and we wish him the best in all his 
10future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Cpt. Buckley as an expression of our esteem and 
13respect.
