| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Library of the Polish |
| 4 | | Museum of America in Chicago on the occasion of the 100th |
| 5 | | anniversary of its founding; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, The Library of the Polish Museum of America is not |
| 7 | | just a collection of books and information but a reflection of |
| 8 | | the community it serves; it is the readers, the researchers, |
| 9 | | the students, and the pupils who have visited over the past 100 |
| 10 | | years in search of information; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, The founding of the Library predates the founding |
| 12 | | of the Polish Museum of America by 20 years, showing the |
| 13 | | importance that learning and information played in Polish |
| 14 | | history and culture; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, A 100th anniversary celebration was held on April |
| 16 | | 18, 2015 in support of the library's rare book conservation |
| 17 | | project; therefore, be it
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 20 | | congratulate the Library of the Polish Museum of America on its |
| 21 | | 100th anniversary and we wish them many more wonderful years; |
