| 2 | | WHEREAS, Illinois State Representative Monique Davis and |
| 3 | | the members of the Illinois House of Representatives recognize |
| 4 | | that Mother's Day is celebrated nationally on May 10, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Every mother wants her child to succeed; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, A child's parents are the foremost authority in |
| 7 | | the needs of the child; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Every day, mothers and grandmothers stand up for |
| 9 | | the rights of their children and advocate for their needs; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Many of these parents and grandparents come to |
| 11 | | Springfield to advocate on behalf of legislation that supports |
| 12 | | their children's rights; therefore, be it
|
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 14 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 15 | | designate May 6, 2015 as "Moms on a Mission Day" in the State |
| 16 | | of Illinois to honor mothers, grandmothers, fathers, and their |
| 17 | | families who stand up for children's rights; and be it further
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, That we welcome the mothers and grandmothers |
| 19 | | present at the Illinois State Capitol on May 6, 2015, |
