HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, State Representatives Monique D. Davis and the 
3members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to 
4congratulate Bishop Larry E. Roberts, Sr. on his Sacred 
5Consecration; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Bishop Roberts was consecrated to the Sacred 
7Office of Bishop in 2014 by Bishop James McNeal, Jr.,
Chairman 
8of the National Christian Fellowship Conference and the Chief 
9Consecrator; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Bishop Roberts is an Official Chaplain with the 
1122nd District Chicago Police Department; he is the
President of 
12the 21st Ward Ministers Alliance (Alderman Howard Brookins); he 
13developed of an
alternative out of school suspension program 
14called CAAAD (Changing Attitudes, Agendas, Actions and

15Directions) that includes partnerships between faith-based 
16organizations and local schools in Chicago and
Kenosha, 
17Wisconsin; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Bishop Roberts is a community activist and 
19inspires "A New Attitude, A New Vision, and a
New Direction" by 
20collaborating with other churches, community organizations, 
21and officials; he is dedicated
to empowering the community by 
22revitalizing relationships between neighbors, local schools,

businesses; and
  
 
  
2    WHEREAS, Bishop Roberts' Sacred Consecration will be 
3officiated by by Bishop James McNeal, Jr. and take place on May 
42, 2015 at the Trinity All Nations Church in Chicago; 
5therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8congratulate Bishop Larry E. Roberts, Sr. on his Sacred 
9Consecration; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Bishop Roberts as an expression of our esteem and 
12respect.
