HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Dan Fabrizio on the 
4occasion of his retirement from the Chicago Fire  Department; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio joined the Chicago Fire  Department on 
7September 4, 1979 and was assigned to Rescue Squad 2 - then the 
8busiest firefighting team in the department, charged with 
9making some of the scariest rescues in the city; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio is a battalion chief and has twice 
11served as President of the Chicago Fire Fighters Union, where 
12he fought to preserve staffing levels, employee benefits, and 
13to make sure the firefighters had the equipment they needed to 
14perform their duties; and
  
 

  
15    WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio has over 35 years of service to the 
16Chicago Fire Department; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
19congratulate Dan Fabrizio on his retirement from the Chicago 
20Fire Department and we wish him the best in all his future 
21endeavors; and be it further
