HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives with to congratulate Notre Dame College Prep on 
4the occasion of its 60th anniversary in 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Notre Dame College Prep was founded in Niles in 
61955; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, A celebration was held on April 25, 2015 at Notre 
8Dame College Prep's Annual Spirit of Notre Dame Dinner Auction; 
9the auction provided an opportunity for 400 alumni, families, 
10and friends to support the school through auctions, raffles, 
11and games; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The celebration theme was "Green Ties" - a tribute 
13to the ties that students, alumni, families, and supporters of 
14Notre Dame College Prep have to each other; and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, Notre Dame College Prep's mission: Under 
16patronage of Mary, Notre Dame College Prep is a secondary 
17school committed to educating young men to be gentlemen of 
18faith, scholarship, and service in an inclusive, 
19family-oriented community. Faithful to the Roman Catholic 
20tradition and inspired by Gospel values, we prepare students to 
21be life-long learners and to lead lives of integrity; and

1    WHEREAS, President Ralph J. Elwart, Principal Daniel 
2Tully, Athletic Director Michael Hennessey, and all of the 
3other faculty and staff of Notre Dame College Prep are due 
4congratulations for making the institution such an enriching 
5and supportive environment for young men to be a part of; 
6therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
8NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
9congratulate Notre Dame College Prep on its 60th anniversary 
10and we wish them many more successful years; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Notre Dame College Prep as an expression of our 
13esteem and respect.
