HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, Paxton lost a beloved member of their community
3with the passing of 26-year-old Clayton Lee Hale on February
4l2, 2015, following several courageous battles with cancer; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was born on August 26, 1988 in Gibson
6City to Larry and Diana Eppelheimer Hale; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Clayton Hale graduated from Paxton-Buckley-Loda
8High School, where he was a member of the school's Future
9Farmers of America chapter; he began working for True Value
10Hardware Store in Paxton during his senior year of high school,
11a job he held until 2013; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was a member of the First United
13Methodist Church of Paxton; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was a very positive, happy person who
15touched the lives of so many; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Clayton Hale loved the outdoors, especially
17hunting and fishing; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was fascinated by trains and enjoyed
19spending much of his free time on the City of Paxton's walk

1bridge over the Canadian National Rail Road tracks where family
2and friends say he loved to watch the trains and feel the
3breeze beneath him as they passed; and
 
4    WHEREAS, The Paxton City Council is renaming the walk
5bridge over the railroad tracks 'Clayton's Bridge' in memory of
6Clayton Hale and the inspiring and courageous way he battled
7obstacles in his life; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Clayton Hale is survived and missed by his
9parents; his brothers, Jade Tavenner and Corey (Dawn)Tavenner;
10his maternal grandmother, Mildred Eppelheimer; and his
11paternal grandmother, Lena Camp; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
14join the Paxton community in celebrating the life of Clayton
15Hale and the renaming of the walking bridge in his memory; and
16be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Clayton Hale as a symbol of our
19sympathy and respect.
