| 2 | WHEREAS, Paxton lost a beloved member of their community | ||||||
| 3 | with the passing of
26-year-old Clayton Lee Hale on February | ||||||
| 4 | l2, 2015, following several courageous
battles with cancer; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was born on August 26, 1988 in Gibson | ||||||
| 6 | City to Larry and
Diana Eppelheimer Hale; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Clayton Hale graduated from Paxton-Buckley-Loda | ||||||
| 8 | High School, where
he was a member of the school's Future | ||||||
| 9 | Farmers of America chapter; he began working for True Value
| ||||||
| 10 | Hardware Store in Paxton during his senior year of high school, | ||||||
| 11 | a job he held until
2013; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was a member of the First United | ||||||
| 13 | Methodist Church of
Paxton; and | ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was a very positive, happy person who | ||||||
| 15 | touched the lives of
so many; and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Clayton Hale loved the outdoors, especially | ||||||
| 17 | hunting and fishing; and | ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was fascinated by trains and enjoyed | ||||||
| 19 | spending much of his
free time on the City of Paxton's walk | ||||||

| 1 | bridge over the Canadian National Rail Road
tracks where family | ||||||
| 2 | and friends say he loved to watch the trains and feel the
| ||||||
| 3 | breeze beneath him as they passed; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, The Paxton City Council is renaming the walk | ||||||
| 5 | bridge over the railroad
tracks 'Clayton's Bridge' in memory of | ||||||
| 6 | Clayton Hale and the inspiring and
courageous way he battled | ||||||
| 7 | obstacles in his life; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Clayton Hale is survived and missed by his | ||||||
| 9 | parents; his brothers, Jade
Tavenner and Corey (Dawn)Tavenner; | ||||||
| 10 | his maternal grandmother,
Mildred Eppelheimer; and his | ||||||
| 11 | paternal grandmother, Lena Camp; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 13 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
| ||||||
| 14 | join the Paxton community in celebrating the life of Clayton | ||||||
| 15 | Hale and the
renaming of the walking bridge in his memory; and | ||||||
| 16 | be it further
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 18 | presented to the family of
Clayton Hale as a symbol of our | ||||||
| 19 | sympathy and respect.
