| 4 | | Berman, who passed away on May 17, 2015; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Maurie Berman served in the military during World |
| 6 | | War II, taking part in the Battle of the Bulge; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Maurie Berman married Flaurie Miska in 1947; in |
| 8 | | May of 1948, they founded Chicago's iconic Superdawg Drive-In |
| 9 | | and operated it for the next 67 years; he was also a certified |
| 10 | | public accountant; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Maurie Berman is survived by his loving wife, best |
| 12 | | friend, and business partner of 68 years, Flo "Flaurie"; he was |
| 13 | | the cherished father of Scott (Terry), Myles "Mush", and Lisa |
| 14 | | (Don) Drucker; the adoring grandfather of Alyssa "Lyssi" |
| 15 | | (Jordan), Laura (Ben), Max, Steffie, and Ross; the |
| 16 | | great-grandfather of Talia; the beloved brother of Rosa (Jerry) |
| 17 | | Burkman; the beloved father-in-law of Pat Garcia (Julie |
| 18 | | Barton); the grandfather-figure to Livi Barton; and Uncle |
