| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Madison School in |
| 4 | | Hinsdale on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of its |
| 5 | | founding; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Madison School opened its doors on September 9, |
| 7 | | 1925 with 200 children and 8 teachers; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, As part of the anniversary celebration, former |
| 9 | | officials and students were invited back to share their |
| 10 | | memories and a time capsule, sealed in 1998, was opened; it was |
| 11 | | refilled with new mementos and resealed, to be opened once |
| 12 | | again on a future date; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Madison School's current principal is Melinda |
| 14 | | McMahon; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 17 | | congratulate Madison School in Hinsdale on its 90th anniversary |
| 18 | | and we wish them many more successful years; and be it further
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, That as suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 | | presented to Madison School as an expression of our esteem and |
