HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Christine Rojek on the 
4occasion of her retirement as music director at Most Holy 
5Redeemer Parish after over 22 years; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Christine Rojek arrived at Most Holy Redeemer 
7Parish on September 1, 1992; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Christine Rojek has coordinated music for weekend 
9Masses, funerals, weddings, concerts, and special services 
10such as Thanksgiving, graduation, First Holy Communion and 
11Confirmation, holiday and holy day liturgies, and children's 
12and school liturgies; if there was music at Most Holy Redeemer 
13Parish, she was responsible; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Christine Rojek has led hundreds of Most Holy 
15Redeemer Parish children in the children's choir, inspiring 
16many to continue in choir and music during their high school 
17years; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Prior to her time at Most Holy Redeemer Parish, 
19Christine Rojek worked at St. Anthony Catholic Church in 
20Frankfort and St. Benedict School in Blue Island; she attended 
21DePaul University with a major in voice and minors in piano and

1organ; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, In retirement, Christine Rojek is looking forward 
3to spending more time with her husband, Joe, and her children 
4and their spouses - Joe and Karen, Maria and Jeff, Nick and 
5Patty, and Lou and Stacey; she is also looking forward to the 
6arrival of her sixth grandchild; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Most Holy Redeemer Parish family will honor 
8Christine Rojek at a retirement party at Briody Hall; 
9therefore, be it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
11NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
12congratulate Christine Rojek on her retirement as music 
13director at Most Holy Redeemer Parish after over 22 years and 
14we wish her the best in all her future endeavors; and be it

16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17presented to Christine Rojek as an expression of our esteem and 
18respect.
