HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to honor Pat
Young, Chief Deputy 
4Clerk of the Fourth District Appellate Court, on the occasion 
5of her
retirement; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Pat Young was hired in 1979 by Justice Thomas R. 
7Appleton and has faithfully
served the Fourth District 
8Appellate Court for the past 35 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Pat Young worked for 28 years for Appellate Clerk 
10Darryl Pratscher and was
eventually appointed to the position 
11of Chief Deputy due to her knowledge and experience; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, In 2009, Pat Young was instrumental during the 
13transition from Clerk Pratscher to
the new administration of 
14Carla Bender and made the transition period run smoothly; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Throughout her 35 years of dedicated service to 
16the Fourth District Appellate
Court, Pat Young has been known 
17as a tireless, loyal member of the Appellate Clerk's office

18leadership team, known to put in countless hours at her desk 
19throughout the day in order to get
the job done; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3congratulate Pat Young for 35 years of dedicated service to the 
4Fourth District Appellate Court and wish her many more years of 
5happiness in retirement; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Chief Deputy Clerk Pat
Young of the Fourth 
8District Appellate Court as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
