HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Annette Armstrong on the 
4occasion of her retirement as Director of the Green Hills 
5Public Library District; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Annette Armstrong became the Director of the Green 
7Hills Public Library District in April of 1997; in her 18 years 
8as Director, she has shown herself to be innovative, energetic, 
9and creative; she has always stayed current with library trends 
10and has implemented them as necessary to bring the best service 
11to the district's taxpayers; her excellent fiscal management 
12leaves the library district in a very strong position; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Annette Armstrong has overseen new construction 
14and the expansion of services provided to the community; she 
15has engaged local artists  to create stimulating environments 
16for patrons and engaged local legislators in efforts to support 
17libraries; she has shown leadership in green technology and in 
18creating programs to better engage young children and young 
19adults; and
  
 

  
20    WHEREAS, A celebration in Annette Armstrong's honor will be 
21held on June 18, 2015; her   retirement will be official on June 
2230, 2015; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3congratulate Annette Armstrong on her retirement  as Director of 
4the Green Hills Public Library District and we wish her the 
5best in all her future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Annette Armstrong as an expression 
8of our esteem and respect.
