HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Crystal Davis of 
4Anna, on being named the 2015 Miss Illinois; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Crystal Davis was crowned Miss Illinois on June 
613, 2015 at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Crystal Davis entered the Miss Illinois pageant as 
8Miss Southern Illinois; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Crystal Davis will receive a $14,000 scholarship 
10as part of her winnings; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Crystal Davis works as an advertising 
12representative for Reppert Publications; in May, she completed 
13her junior year at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape 
14Girardeau, Missouri, where she is studying public relations; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, This is the first time since 2007 that a Southern 
17Illinois native will represent the State at the Miss America 
18pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2congratulate Crystal Davis on being named the 2015 Miss 
3Illinois, and we wish her success as she competes in the Miss 
4America pageant in Atlantic City; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Crystal Davis as an expression of our esteem and 
7respect.
