HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House Representatives 
3wish to congratulate Craig Collins on the occasion of his 
4retirement from Geneva Community School District 304; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Craig Collins began his career teaching social 
6studies at the junior/senior high school in Mora, Minnesota 
7from 1976 to 1978; from 1978 to 1980, he taught social studies 
8at the senior high school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; from 1980 to 
91981, he served as a teaching assistant at the Department of 
10Elementary/Early Childhood Education at the University of 
11Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; from 1983 to 1986, he served as 
12Principal of the junior/senior high school in Assumption; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Craig Collins joined District 304 in 1986 as the 
14Assistant Principal of Geneva Community High School; later that 
15year, he became Principal, serving in that position until 2000; 
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Craig Collins became Assistant Superintendent of 
18Human Resources for District 304 in 2000, serving for 15 years 
19until 2015; and
  
 
  
20    WHEREAS, Craig Collins grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; he 
21earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Social Studies

1from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota; he also holds a 
2Master of Education in Educational Administration; therefore, 
3be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate Craig Collins on his retirement from Geneva 
7Community School District 304 and we wish him the best in all 
8his future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Craig Collins as an expression of our esteem and 
11respect.
