HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Vivian L. Downing on the 
4occasion of her retirement  from her position as Administration 
5Special
Projects Coordinator and Site Compliance Officer for 
6Advocate BroMenn Medical Center
and Advocate Eureka Hospital in 
7Illinois after more than 20 years of dedicated
service; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Vivian Downing grew up in New Athens and 
9Steeleville in Southern Illinois; she received
her bachelor's 
10degree in business education from Eastern Illinois University 
11and lived
and worked in Naperville; Green Bay, Wisconsin; 
12Atlanta, Georgia; and
Charlotte, North Carolina; before moving 
13to the Bloomington-Normal area; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, In 2010, Vivian Downing was honored by the McLean 
15County Chamber of Commerce
with the Top Administrative 
16Professional Award for her superb knowledge, skills, and

17abilities; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Vivian Downing has one daughter, Charlsie, who is 
19married to Steve DeHorsey; her
grandchildren, "AJ" (Andrew 
20James) and Jordyn Adelle are her pride and joy; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, Vivian Downing is
moving to Cape May Courthouse,

1New Jersey to be nearer to her family; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, Vivian Downing plans to enjoy days on the beach, 
3reading, creating memories
with AJ and Jordyn, and being active 
4in her new church community; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7congratulate Vivian L. Downing on her retirement from her 
8position as Administration Special
Projects Coordinator and 
9Site Compliance Officer for Advocate BroMenn Medical Center
and 
10Advocate Eureka Hospital in Illinois after more than 20 years 
11of dedicated
service; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Vivian Downing as an expression of our esteem and 
14respect.
