HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Fire Chief Michael 
4Mavrogeorge on the occasion of being chosen to serve as the 
5Chairman of the Illinois Fire Services Association; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Chief Mavrogeorge has dutifully served as the Fire 
7Chief of the Saint Louis Downtown Airport since 2008; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Chief Mavrogeorge has served as a member of the 
9Executive Board of the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association since 
102009; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Illinois Fire Services Association is a 
12partnership of the major organizations representing the fire 
13service in Illinois to effectively promote and coordinate 
14activities on common issues facing the fire service and the 
15populace of Illinois; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Member organizations of the Illinois Fire 
17Services Association include the Illinois Society of Fire 
18Service Instructors, the Illinois Firefighters Association, 
19the Illinois Professional Firefighters  Association, the 
20Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts, the 
21Associated Firefighters of Illinois, the Office of the State

1Fire Marshal, the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance, the Mutual Aid 
2Box Alarm System (MABAS), the Chicago Fire Department, the 
3Illinois Fire Service Institute, the Illinois Fire Chiefs 
4Association, the Illinois Fire Inspectors Association, and the 
5Northern Illinois Alliance of Fire Protection Districts; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Chief Mavrogeorge will assume his duties on 
7September 1, 2015; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
10congratulate Fire Chief Mike Mavrogeorge on the occasion of 
11being chosen to serve as the Chairman of the Illinois Fire 
12Services Association and wish him continued success and 
13happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
15presented to Chief Michael Mavrogeorge as an expression of our 
16congratulations.
