2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Kathryn |
4 | | "Kay" Woolard of West Frankfort, who passed away on June 15, |
5 | | 2015; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Kay Woolard was born in Johnston City on September |
7 | | 11, 1935 to Clarence Lee and Nola Irene (nee Bowyer) Williams; |
8 | | she graduated from Johnston City High School in 1954; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Kay Woolard was a homemaker; she was an active |
10 | | member of Third Baptist Church in West Frankfort, where she |
11 | | taught Sunday school and served as Treasurer for many years; |
12 | | she also helped cook and serve meals at the church; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Kay Woolard loved her family and enjoyed cooking |
14 | | for them; she had a long-standing tradition of preparing a |
15 | | Monday evening meal at her home for family gatherings; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, Kay Woolard was preceded in death by her parents; |
17 | | her brother, Jack Williams; and her 2 brothers-in-law, Bill |
18 | | Wallace and Gerald Woolard; and
|
19 | | WHEREAS, Kay Woolard is survived by her 3 sons and |
20 | | daughters-in-law, Greg (Lisa) Woolard, Jeff (Debbie) Woolard, |

14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
15 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
16 | | mourn the passing of Kathryn "Kay" Woolard, and extend our |
17 | | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew |
18 | | and loved her; and be it further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Kay Woolard as an expression of our |
21 | | deepest sympathy.
