HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to recognize Baron, a member of the
4Warrenville Police Department K-9 response team, on his
5retirement on December 12, 2014; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Baron started his career on the streets on June 1,
72010; during his years of service, he placed second in yearly
8certification events 4 times; and
 
9    WHEREAS, During his career, Baron has searched buildings,
10cars, and individuals in the search for drugs, counting over
11600 such searches during his career; he has located over 8
12pounds of marijuana, 4 kilos of cocaine and crack, and 1 ounce
13of heroin; he was also responsible for 3 suspect captures in
14Warrenville and surrounding communities; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Baron has received numerous department citations
16for his hard work and was recognized by the Drug Enforcement
17Administration for his assistance with a seizure of 1,400
18pounds of marijuana; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Baron, along with his partner, Officer Bellinger,
20are members of the F.I.A.T. K-9 response team; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
2NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
3congratulate Baron on a job well done and honor him for his
4years of successful police work and for being an asset to the
5Warrenville community; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to Officer Bellinger on the behalf of Baron, as a
8symbol of our respect.
