| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate John "Hal" Coxon on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his retirement from the position of Vice President | ||||||
| 5 | of Sales and Marketing for Consumers' Credit Union; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Hal Coxon has a distinguished list of service to | ||||||
| 7 | the community that extends for more than 30 years; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Hal Coxon has a passionate commitment to | ||||||
| 9 | comprehensively serving the credit union's membership; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Hal Coxon moderated a number of high-profile | ||||||
| 11 | political contests in the North Shore area; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Hal Coxon is the Co-Chair of Consumers' Credit | ||||||
| 13 | Union's President's Council, the credit union's steering | ||||||
| 14 | committee for its Latino outreach program; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, In 2006, Hal Coxon was inducted as a Charter | ||||||
| 16 | Member of the Lake County Civil Rights Hall of Fame; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Hal Coxon was Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors | ||||||
| 18 | for both the Lake County Chamber of Commerce and the GLMV | ||||||
| 19 | Chamber of Commerce for 9 years; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Hal Coxon has a great sense of giving to the | ||||||
| 2 | community; he served as a member of the Board of Directors for | ||||||
| 3 | the Mano a Mano Family Resource Center and the Citizens' | ||||||
| 4 | Advisory Board for the University Center of Lake County | ||||||
| 5 | (Waukegan Campus); and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Hal Coxon was the recipient of the Freedom Award | ||||||
| 7 | as one of Lake County's Most Influential African-Americans in | ||||||
| 8 | 2007; and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, In 2015, Hal Coxon announced his retirement after | ||||||
| 10 | 10 years of work with the Consumers' Credit Union and even more | ||||||
| 11 | years with numerous community organizations; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 13 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 14 | congratulate John "Hal" Coxon on the occasion of his retirement | ||||||
| 15 | after 10 years of outstanding service as the Vice President of | ||||||
| 16 | Sales and Marketing for Consumers' Credit Union and wish him | ||||||
| 17 | many happy and healthy retirement years to come; and be it | ||||||
| 18 | further

| 19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 20 | presented to Hal Coxon as a symbol of our recognition, respect, | ||||||
| 21 | and esteem.
