| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | | WHEREAS, House Resolution 254 of the 99th General Assembly |
| 3 | | created the Commission to Reform Child Care in Illinois to |
| 4 | | study current local and State provisions involving child care |
| 5 | | and make recommendations to help ensure that there are simple |
| 6 | | and fair systems to provide quality child care that is |
| 7 | | affordable for families, especially those on low incomes; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, House Resolution 254 directed that the findings of |
| 9 | | the Commission be reported to the General Assembly by September |
| 10 | | 1, 2015; this due date for the report is no longer workable |
| 11 | | given the scope of the Commission's responsibilities; |
| 12 | | therefore, be it
|
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 14 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 15 | | the Commission to Reform Child Care in Illinois shall issue a |
| 16 | | report of its findings and recommendations to the General |
| 17 | | Assembly on or before September 1, 2016; and be it further
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, That, with this reporting extension, the |
| 19 | | Commission shall continue to operate pursuant to House |
| 20 | | Resolution 254 of the 99th General Assembly.
