HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate  Staff Sergeant Jessie 
4Bowman on the occasion of his retirement from the United States 
5Marine Corps on September 5, 2015, after many years of service 
6to his country; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, SSgt. Jessie Bowman graduated from Lincoln Senior 
8High School in 1994; on December 26, 1995, he enlisted in the 
9United States Marine Corps; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, SSgt. Jessie Bowman attained various ranks 
11throughout his tenure with the Marine Corps, having attained 
12the rank of staff sergeant at the time of his retirement; he 
13also served as a recruiter for 3 years; his job title upon the 
14completion of his service will be Logistics Specialist; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, During his 20 years in the Marine Corps, SSgt. 
16Jessie Bowman was stationed in San Diego, California for most 
17of his career, but also completed tours in Saudi Arabia, 
18Afghanistan, Japan, and Iraq; and

  
 
19    WHEREAS, SSgt. Jessie Bowman serves as a model of hard 
20work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
21Illinois; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3congratulate Staff Sergeant Jessie Bowman on the occasion of 
4his retirement and wish him continued success and happiness in 
5the future; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to SSgt. Jessie Bowman as a symbol of our esteem and 
8respect.
