HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of  Carl Dean 
4Edwards, who passed away on August 13, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Carl Edwards was born on September 7, 1940 in 
6Saline County; his parents were William Earl and Madge 
7(Stilley) Edwards; he married Marilyn (Sherrell) Edwards on 
8February 3, 1964 in Marion; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Carl Edwards served as the Frankfort Township 
10Highway Commissioner for 31 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Carl Edwards was a member of the Royalton Masonic 
12Lodge, the Shriners, the West Frankfort Moose, Elks Club, the 
13Fin and Feather Club, and the Republican Party; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Carl Edwards bought and sold horses all his life; 
15he was an avid hunter and a kind master to his dog, Spanky; he 
16also enjoyed attending gun and knife shows; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Carl Edwards was preceded in death by his parents; 
18a sister, Erlene Hitt; and a grandson, Clinton James Edwards; 
19and

1    WHEREAS, Carl Edwards is survived by his wife, Marilyn; a 
2son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Robin (Saulsbury) Edwards; 2 
3granddaughters, Abby and Kassy Edwards; a brother, Larry 
4Edwards; a sister, Melba McBride; and an aunt, Nancy Baker; 
5therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of 
9Carl Dean Edwards; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of Carl Edwards as an expression of our 
12sympathy.
