HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Andrew 
4Zajac of Winthrop, Washington, formerly of Downers Grove, who 
5passed away on August 19, 2015; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Andrew Zajac graduated from Downers Grove North 
7High School in 2007, where he played football, played the cello 
8in the orchestra, and traveled abroad with fellow classmates; 
9he attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, 
10where he was a 2-year starter at right tackle and was an 
11honorable mention on the All-University Athletic Association 
12Team during his senior year; he earned his degree in biology in 
132010 and his Master of Science from the University of South 
14Dakota in 2014; he married Jenn in 2014; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Andrew Zajac served as a wildland firefighter with 
16the United States Forest Service as part of a specialized crew 
17that enters dangerous areas as fast as they can to examine a 
18scene and report back to commanders on what needs to be done; 
19and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Andrew Zajac was an avid outdoorsman and athlete;

1    WHEREAS, Andrew Zajac is survived by his wife, Jenn; his 
2father, Jim Zajac; and his mother, Rev. Mary Zajac; therefore, 
3be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6mourn the passing of Andrew Zajac, and extend our sincere 
7condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
8him; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Andrew Zajac as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
