HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate  the Evergreen Park girls 
4softball league 9-10 year old division for winning the Little 
5League Softball Illinois State tournament; and

  
 
6    WHEREAS, The 11 girls of the Evergreen Park girls softball 
7team started their first tournament in Orland Park on June 28, 
82015, winning five games and the championship game for the 
9tournament; in the following week, the team went to Oak Forest, 
10where they went 3-2 to place fourth that week; the team then 
11went home to Evergreen Park, where they went undefeated for six 
12games to win the championship; each team member subsequently 
13earned a MVP medal for their great play; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The Evergreen Park girls softball team went on to 
15play in the Little League Sectional Tournament, consisting of 
16Evergreen Park, Ridge/Beverly, and Humboldt Park; after 2 
17victories against Humboldt Park, the team was sent to the State 
18Championship tournament; after spectacular victories against 
19LaGrange and Brown County and another semi-final victory 
20against Brown County, the team defeated Rock Falls 7-3 to 
21secure victory in the Little League Softball Illinois State 
22tournament; and

1    WHEREAS, The members of the Evergreen Park girls softball 
2team are Kerrigan Collins, Isa Crespo, Maddie Davis, Gwendolyn 
3Hohman, Keira Jarrett, Analise Mulvihill, Bridget Murphy, 
4Maura Racz, Nicole Reynolds, Alyssa Rossi, and Lily Strand; the 
5team's coaches are Tim Collins, Dan Crespo, and Erin Davis and 
6the team's manager is Jerry Mulvihill; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The members of the Evergreen Park girls softball 
8team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication 
9for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
11NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
12congratulate the Evergreen Park girls softball league 9-10 year 
13old division for winning the Little League Softball Illinois 
14State tournament and wish them continued success and happiness 
15in the future; and be it further
  
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17presented to the Evergreen Park girls softball team as a symbol 
18of our esteem and respect.
