HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Kim Thomas on being 
4selected as the Illinois Teacher of the Year; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kim Thomas teaches 8th grade math at the Woodruff 
6Career and Technical Center in  Peoria School District 150; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Kim Thomas has been teaching for 23 years; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Kim Thomas recently won District 150's Don Phares 
9Award for outstanding teacher; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Kim Thomas works to make her lessons fun for 
11everyone and even has a theme song for her class; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Kim Thomas was selected as the Illinois Teacher of 
13the Year at the Those Who Excel banquet in Normal on October 
1417, 2015; therefore, be it
  
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
16NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
17congratulate Kim Thomas on being selected as the Illinois 
18Teacher of the Year, and we thank her for her commitment to 
19education; and be it further
