HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Taylor Johnson of Peoria 
4on being selected as the 2015 Southern Illinois 
5University-Carbondale (SIU) Homecoming Queen; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Taylor Johnson is a senior at SIU, with a radio, 
7television, and broadcasting major and a minor in public 
8relations; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Taylor Johnson is a Dean's List recipient and a 
10resident assistant; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Taylor Johnson is President of the Black Women's 
12Task Force and a member of the Public Relations Student Society 
13of America, the River Region Evening Edition Student Newscast, 
14and the Special Programs Council; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Taylor Johnson is an active member in the 
16Carbondale community; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Taylor Johnson's mother, Annette Coleman, works 
18at Peoria High School; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2congratulate Taylor Johnson of Peoria on being selected as the 
32015 Southern Illinois University-Carbondale Homecoming Queen;

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Taylor Johnson as an expression of our esteem and
