HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are deeply saddened to learn of the death of
4Lawrence "Larry" G. Lubertozzi, who passed away on October 22,
52015; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Larry Lubertozzi was born on August 10, 1939; he
7grew up on the West Side of Chicago in the Garfield Park
8neighborhood; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Larry Lubertozzi attended St. Phillip Basilica
10High School and Loyola University in Chicago; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Larry Lubertozzi was a caring individual who
12counseled individuals, couples, and families for more than 40
13years at Oak Lawn Family Service, at Catholic Charities, and in
14private practice; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Larry Lubertozzi was a voracious reader and a
16member of his local Martini Club book group for more than 25
17years; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Larry Lubertozzi was active in his community, a
19longtime supporter and past president of the Tall Grass Arts
20Association (formerly the Park Forest Art Center), and a

1founding member of the Friends of Thorn Creek Woods; he was
2also an active member of the Sauk-Calumet Chapter of the Sierra
3Club and the Thorn Creek Audubon Society; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Larry Lubertozzi volunteered in many local,
5State, and national elections and served as treasurer for State
6Representative Jim Marzuki's successful campaign; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Larry Lubertozzi is survived by his loving wife;
8his sons; his daughter-in-law; his grandson; his brother, Carl;
9his sister, Marie Martin; and his many extended family members,
10which include many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces,
11and nephews; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of
15Lawrence "Larry" Lubertozzi; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Larry Lubertozzi as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy and condolences.
