HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Officer Timothy O. 
4Schaefer on the occasion of his retirement from the Lincolnwood 
5Police Department after 30 years of service; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Officer Schaefer served with the Lincolnwood 
7Police Department from October 16, 1985 to November 6, 2015; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Officer Schaefer has held numerous roles with the 
10Lincolnwood Police Department throughout the years, including 
11Beverage Alcohol Sales Servers Education Training Instructor,

12Evidence Technician,
Firearms Instructor,
Firearms Range 
13Officer,
Motorcycle Officer,
Traffic Enforcement Officer,

14Traffic Accident Investigator,
Traffic Grant Coordinator,

15Liaison to the Village of Lincolnwood Traffic Commission,

16Certified Breathalyzer Officer, and
Certified Car Seat 
17Technician; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Officer Schaefer has received numerous accolades 
19during his career; he received 9 Honorable Mentions and 10 
20Commendatory Letters from the Lincolnwood Police Department; 
21he also received a Letter of Appreciation from the United 
22States Postal Inspectors Office and numerous commendatory

1letters and letters of appreciation from the public; and
  
 
  
2    WHEREAS, Officer Schaefer is a member of the German 
3American Police Association, the International Police 
4Association, the Polish American Police Association, and 
5Illinois Traffic Safety Leaders; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8congratulate Officer Timothy O. Schaefer on his retirement from 
9the Lincolnwood Police Department after 30 years of service and 
10we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it 
11further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Officer Schaefer as an expression of our esteem 
14and respect.
