HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Pearl Place Myers on the 
4occasion of her 100th birthday on December 15, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Pearl Myers was born on December 15, 1915 in 
6Champaign County near Sidney; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Pearl Myers loved being a farmer's wife and living 
8on the farm with her husband,
Hubert, who passed away in 1994; 
9she now resides in St. Joseph near her daughter, Dixie, and her 
10son-in-law, St. Joseph Mayor B.J. Hackler; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Pearl Myers always enjoyed working outside, 
12sewing, and dancing and often took her children with her to

13square dances; she has a  great love for flowers and was always 
14working in her flower garden; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Pearl Myers preferred spending time with her 
16family most of all, with her many grandchildren, great 
17grandchildren, and great-great
grandchildren; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Pearl Myers is the mother of 2 children, daughter, 
19Dixie (B.J.) Hackler, and son, Donald K. Myers (deceased); she 
20has
6 grandchildren, Greg, Kristi, Kim, Gene, Traci, and Tonya;

119 great-grandchildren; and
14 great-great-grandchildren; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5congratulate Pearl Place Myers on her 100th birthday, and we 
6wish her many more wonderful years; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Pearl Myers as an expression of our esteem and 
9respect.
