| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Martin Duffy of Gallatin |
| 4 | | County on being selected by the Illinois Basketball Coaches |
| 5 | | Association (IBCA) to be inducted into the Illinois Basketball |
| 6 | | Hall of Fame as a "Friend of Basketball"; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Martin Duffy was a member of the 1973 Ridgway |
| 8 | | Eagles State championship team and vividly remembers
every |
| 9 | | moment of every game from that year; he has supported the |
| 10 | | Ridgway Eagles, and now the
Gallatin County Hawks, his entire |
| 11 | | life; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Martin Duffy is one of the most loyal fans of |
| 13 | | Illinois high school
basketball and is one of the most |
| 14 | | enthusiastic fans of the Gallatin County Hawks; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, The IBCA induction ceremony will be held at |
| 16 | | Illinois State University in Normal on April 30,
2016; |
| 17 | | therefore, be it

| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 20 | | congratulate Martin Duffy of Gallatin County on being inducted |
| 21 | | into the Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame; and be it further
