HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are deeply saddened to learn of the untimely 
4passing of Firefighter/Paramedic Mark Zielinski, Sr. of the 
5Matteson Fire Department, who was born on May 3, 1966 and 
6passed away on December 4, 2015; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Mark Zielinski, Sr. devoted his life to serving 
8others; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Mark Zielinski, Sr. loved and served his community 
10for 25 years in both the Harvey Fire Department and the 
11Matteson Fire Department; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Firefighter Mark Zielinski, Sr. was known simply 
13as "Mark" throughout the Village of Matteson and surrounding 
14communities, emblematic of his engaging personality; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Mark Zielinski, Sr. passed away in the line of 
16duty while valiantly giving CPR to resuscitate a victim; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Mark Zielinski, Sr. was a loving and devoted 
18husband and father to his 7 children; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Mark Zielinski, Sr. is survived by his wife,

1Natasha; his daughters, Jennifer, Kelly, Breanna, Michelle, 
2and Amanda; his sons, Mark, Jr. and Matthew; his stepson, 
3Frank; his stepdaughters, Evelyn and Lola; and his brother, 
4Michael; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
7we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of 
8Mark Zielinski, Sr.; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Mark Zielinski, Sr. as an expression 
11of our deepest sympathy and condolences.
