HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Our Lady of Lourdes 
47th grade girls basketball team, the Lancers, on finishing 
5second in the 2015 Illinois Elementary School Association Class 
61A State championship game; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Lancers defeated Trinity Catholic Academy of 
8La Salle and Schlarman Academy  of Danville  to reach the 
9championship game against Carthage Middle School on December 
1010, 2015; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Lancers came up just short in the championship 
12game, but they had a successful year with a record of 21 wins 
13and 4 losses; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The Lances are coached by Eric Newbon; and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, The Lancers are Alexis Paine, Jordan Santella, 
16Molly Patton, Emily Birschbach, Morgan Brummer, Valerie 
17Nutakor, Abby Gillespey, Abaigeal Aydt, and Addison Newbon; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

1congratulate the Our Lady of Lourdes 7th grade girls basketball 
2team, the Lancers, on finishing second in the 2015 Illinois 
3Elementary School Association Class 1A State championship
