HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate James Mahlandt on the 
4occasion of his retirement as Fire Chief for the Carlyle Fire 
5Department; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Chief Mahlandt was born to Elmer and Gladys 
7Mahlandt on September 15, 1939; he married Helen Gross on 
8September 21, 1963; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Chief Mahlandt joined the Carlyle Fire Department 
10on December 5, 1960; he became Chief in 1972; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Chief Mahlandt also worked in the lumber business 
12for 55 years, retiring on February 28, 2014; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Chief Mahlandt has 2 sons, Jim (Lesley) and Scott 
14(Cheryl), and 4 grandchildren, Braden, Meagan, Alaina, and 
15Austin; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Chief Mahlandt's last day as Chief was December 
1731, 2015; he will be staying on with the department; therefore, 
18be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2congratulate James Mahlandt on his retirement as Fire Chief for 
3the Carlyle Fire Department, and we wish him the best in all 
4his future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Chief Mahlandt as an expression of our esteem and 
7respect.
