HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate  the members of the 
4Goreville Junior Lady Blackcats on the occasion of winning the 
5SIJHSAA Class M State Championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Goreville Junior Lady Blackcats defeated the 
7Jonesboro Lady Bulldogs 59-49 at Rend Lake College to win the 
8Class M State Championship game on January 29, 2016; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The Goreville Junior Lady Blackcats finished 
10their season with a perfect 27-0 season record; and

  
 
11    WHEREAS, The members of the Goreville Junior Lady Blackcats 
12are Payton Sopczak, Samantha Licka, Adrianna Licka, Kelsey Ray, 
13Kiara Miller, Hallie Martin, Katie Benard, Jaden Maze, Miley 
14Kwiatkowski, Destani Bennett, Emma Vaughn, Ellie Grammer, and 
15Sidney Keller; the Head Coach is Teresa Cash and the Assistant 
16Coaches are Cindy Hamer and Connie Licka; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, The members of the Goreville Junior Lady Blackcats 
18serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the 
19people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2congratulate the members of the Goreville Junior Lady Blackcats 
3on the occasion of winning the SIJHSAA Class M State 
4Championship and wish them continued success and happiness in 
5the future; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the Goreville Junior Lady Blackcats as a symbol of 
8our esteem and respect.
