HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Addison Osta Smith on her 
4win on Master Chef Junior; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Addison Smith was a fierce competitor in the 
6kitchen and showed herself to be a leader from the start of the 
7competition; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Addison Smith showed talent and skill beyond her 
9years as she created impressive, restaurant-quality
meals week 
10after week; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Addison Smith was a great joy to watch in the 
12kitchen as she prepared everything from elevated
Midwest 
13comfort food to sophisticated entrees with an Asian flare; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Addison Smith dominated the competition by being 
15in the top 3 and winning more challenges
than other 
16contestants; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Addison Smith demonstrated maturity and 
18leadership by supporting others in the competition to
be their 
19best selves; and

1    WHEREAS, Addison Smith made history as the youngest and 
2first female winner of the competition; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5congratulate Addison Osta Smith on her win of Master Chef 
6Junior
and thank her for her representation of the State of 
7Illinois and we  wish her the best in all her future
endeavors; 
8and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Addison Smith as an expression
of our 
11congratulations and appreciation for a job well done.
