HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The Boeing Company is a leading corporate citizen 
3and
valued partner in our State; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Boeing is a driver of innovation with Illinois 
5suppliers,
developing, building, and supporting aerospace 
6products and services
to advance the frontiers of aerospace and 
7commercial aviation; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Boeing is a critical part of America's defense and 
9space
industrial base, building and supporting the weapons and

10equipment that our troops use every day to protect the United 
11States
homeland and deter aggressors; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Boeing products play a major role in our daily 
13lives by
transporting people and goods across our country and 
14the globe; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Boeing is a significant driver of prosperity in 
16our State
with its Chicago and St. Clair County sites, spending 
17$1 billion  with
557 State suppliers; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Boeing has been a good neighbor by volunteering 
19and
investing significant charitable resources in community

20organizations and charitable causes; and

1    WHEREAS, Boeing is approaching the 100th anniversary of its

2founding on July 15, 2016; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5commend
the Boeing Company for its contributions to our State 
6and the U.S. aerospace
industry and we wish the company much 
7success in the next 100 years; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Boeing as an expression of our esteem and respect.
