HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The Technology and Manufacturing Association was 
3founded in 1925 by eight small manufacturing companies who 
4chose to create an association in order to better represent 
5their members, add value, and serve their industry; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Technology and 
7Manufacturing Association members have established programs 
8and services to help their businesses grow and prosper, train 
9their employees, and provide medical and retirement benefits, 
10thereby assisting in the development of the  global 
11competitiveness of its members; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, As a result of these efforts, the Technology and 
13Manufacturing Association has grown into a 1,000-member 
14not-for-profit organization of precision manufacturing and 
15supplier companies representing 30,000 employees throughout 
16Illinois; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Technology and 
18Manufacturing Association has served as a valued source of 
19employee learning and development for member companies and has 
20evolved into a leader in hands-on training and workforce 
21development by continually expanding the scope of its 
22educational offerings to meet the evolving needs of its members

1and manufacturing students of all walks of life; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, The Technology and Manufacturing Association is a 
3leading voice in an evolving manufacturing industry and a major 
4economic driver and job creator for Illinois; the organization 
5has worked on behalf of its members to raise the level of 
6awareness of the importance of manufacturing through its 
7advocacy programs at the local, state, and federal levels; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, The Technology and Manufacturing Association is 
9currently celebrating its 90th anniversary; therefore, be it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
11NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
12congratulate the Technology and Manufacturing Association on 
13the occasion of its 90th anniversary and wholeheartedly 
14recognize the organization for its lasting contributions to the 
15State of Illinois; and be it further
  
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17presented to the Chief Executive Officer of the Technology and 
18Manufacturing Association.
