| 2 | | WHEREAS, The Technology and Manufacturing Association was |
| 3 | | founded in 1925 by eight small manufacturing companies who |
| 4 | | chose to create an association in order to better represent |
| 5 | | their members, add value, and serve their industry; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Technology and |
| 7 | | Manufacturing Association members have established programs |
| 8 | | and services to help their businesses grow and prosper, train |
| 9 | | their employees, and provide medical and retirement benefits, |
| 10 | | thereby assisting in the development of the global |
| 11 | | competitiveness of its members; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, As a result of these efforts, the Technology and |
| 13 | | Manufacturing Association has grown into a 1,000-member |
| 14 | | not-for-profit organization of precision manufacturing and |
| 15 | | supplier companies representing 30,000 employees throughout |
| 16 | | Illinois; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Technology and |
| 18 | | Manufacturing Association has served as a valued source of |
| 19 | | employee learning and development for member companies and has |
| 20 | | evolved into a leader in hands-on training and workforce |
| 21 | | development by continually expanding the scope of its |
| 22 | | educational offerings to meet the evolving needs of its members |
