| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dorothy | ||||||
| 4 | Roberts, formerly of Benton, who passed away on March 15, 2016; | ||||||
| 5 | and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Roberts was born in Logan to Freeman Burns | ||||||
| 7 | and Vienna (Childs) Burns on February 26, 1938; she married | ||||||
| 8 | Floyd Wilson Roberts on April 9, 1954; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Roberts worked as a housekeeper and a | ||||||
| 10 | Certified Nursing Assistant; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Roberts enjoyed reading, quilting, | ||||||
| 12 | antiquing, and spending time with her grandchildren; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Roberts was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 14 | husband, Floyd; her father, Freeman Burns; her mother, Vienna | ||||||
| 15 | Cohoon; her sister, Margaret Shadwell; and her brother, Joseph | ||||||
| 16 | Cohoon; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Roberts is survived by her five children, | ||||||
| 18 | Laura Karch and husband, Carl, Michael Roberts and fiancee, | ||||||
| 19 | Jody Lilly, and Jody's daughter, Rachel Nichole Lilly, Rhonda | ||||||
| 20 | Dickson and husband, John, Sandy King and husband, Mark, and | ||||||

| 1 | Kenneth Roberts and fiancee, Julie Hayes; her 15 grandchildren, | ||||||
| 2 | Michelle Lynn Karch, Timothy Shawn Karch, Charles Jason | ||||||

| 12 | mourn the passing of Dorothy Roberts, and extend our sincere | ||||||
| 13 | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
| 14 | her; and be it further

| 15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
