| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dr. | ||||||
| 4 | Michael B. Schroeder of Arlington Heights, who passed away on | ||||||
| 5 | May 8, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder was born in Chicago on August 21, | ||||||
| 7 | 1955, and shortly thereafter, his family moved to Arlington | ||||||
| 8 | Heights; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder was a devoted husband to Cindy, his | ||||||
| 10 | loving wife of 29 years, and a devoted father to his four | ||||||
| 11 | children, Sara, Emily, Nathan, and Jacob; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder attended Saint Viator High School in | ||||||
| 13 | Arlington Heights; he then attended the University of Notre | ||||||
| 14 | Dame and the University of Illinois School of Dentistry; and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder was a dentist for 36 years; he had a | ||||||
| 16 | thriving dental practice in the heart of Arlington Heights, | ||||||
| 17 | serving patients of all ages throughout the northwest suburbs; | ||||||
| 18 | and | ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder was a dedicated public servant who | ||||||
| 20 | gave freely of his valuable time in service to his fellow | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | citizens, including the Mobile Dental Clinic that provided free | ||||||
| 2 | or low-cost dental care for residents of Wheeling, Elk Grove, | ||||||
| 3 | and Palatine Townships; and | ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder served on the Arlington Heights | ||||||
| 5 | Village Board of Trustees from 1989 to 1992; he also served as | ||||||
| 6 | the acting Arlington Heights Village President during a | ||||||
| 7 | transition period from December of 1992 to April of 1993; and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder served as the Wheeling Township | ||||||
| 9 | Supervisor for over a decade; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder was a lifelong dedicated Republican | ||||||
| 11 | and served for a term as the Wheeling Township Republican | ||||||
| 12 | Committeeman; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder dedicated his life to his family, | ||||||
| 14 | his faith, and his community; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 16 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 17 | mourn the passing of Dr. Michael B. Schroeder and extend our | ||||||
| 18 | sincere condolences to his wife and children on their loss; and | ||||||
| 19 | be it further
| ||||||
| 20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||

| 1 | presented to the family of Dr. Schroeder as an expression of | ||||||
| 2 | our deepest sympathy.
