| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Officer |
| 4 | | Michael R. Flisk, who passed away on November 26, 2010; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, On November 26, 2010, the day after Thanksgiving, |
| 6 | | Chicago Police Officer and Evidence Technician, Officer Flisk |
| 7 | | was shot and killed while processing the scene of a vehicle |
| 8 | | burglary; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Officer Flisk left behind his wife, Nora, and |
| 10 | | their four children: Michael John, Timothy, Margaret (Peg), and |
| 11 | | Brian; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Officer Flisk came from a long line of public |
| 13 | | servants; his father was a firefighter and three of his |
| 14 | | siblings are members of the police department; this tradition |
| 15 | | continues with his children: Michael John is a Chicago |
| 16 | | Firefighter, Brian is an intern with Chicago Police Department |
| 17 | | while finishing his studies at Ambrose University; his |
| 18 | | daughter, Peg, is in her second year of studies at The John |
| 19 | | Marshall Law School, where she is preparing to become a |
| 20 | | criminal prosecutor; therefore, be it
