HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Paul T. Stransky on the
4occasion of his retirement from Farmers Insurance after 35
5years of service; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Paul Stransky earned his Bachelor of Science in
7Criminal Law from Western Illinois University in 1978; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Paul Stransky began his career with Farmers
9Insurance in 1981 as an Agent in Aurora; he also served as a
10Sales Trainee in Aurora before moving to Santa Ana, California,
11where he worked for the company as a Commercial Sales
12Representative and Life Sales Representative; he then moved to
13San Diego, California to assume the position of Division Agency
14Manager and continued there until he moved to Vancouver, Canada
15to serve as Regional Sales Education Manager; he later moved
16back to Santa Ana, California to serve as Regional Agency
17Manager before taking the position of Regional Sales Manager in
18Carlsbad, California; after serving as Regional Sales Manager
19in Columbus, Ohio, he served in the positions of Director of
20Research and Development, Director of Education and Training,
21and Director of Commercial Product Management at the Farmers
22Insurance Home Office before being designated as Executive
23Director in Michigan; he was later promoted to the position of

1Director of Government Affairs, where he served until being
2promoted to Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs,
3where he remained until he retired; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Prior to his service at Farmers Insurance, Paul
5Stransky served with the Sandwich Police Department for four
6years; he also served in the United States Coast Guard in
7active duty for four years and in the Coast Guard Reserve for
810 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Paul Stransky and his loving wife, Irena, have two
10sons, Alex and Jonathan; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Paul Stransky serves as a model of hard work,
12integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
13Illinois; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16congratulate Paul T. Stransky on the occasion of his retirement
17and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and
18be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to Paul Stransky as a symbol of our esteem and
21respect.
