2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Robert | ||||||
4 | Dubois, who passed away on May 27, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Robert Dubois was born in Metamora to Joseph W.
| ||||||
6 | and Bernice E. Eckstein Dubois on April 21, 1941; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Robert Dubois dedicated his life to his community, | ||||||
8 | and to the safety of others; he began his law enforcement | ||||||
9 | career in 1960 as a crime scene investigator
with the Illinois | ||||||
10 | Security and Intelligence Bureau; in 1970, he became a crime | ||||||
11 | scene investigator with the Illinois Bureau of
Identification; | ||||||
12 | later, he served in the same position with the Illinois | ||||||
13 | Department of Law Enforcement; and | ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Robert Dubois assisted in developing the | ||||||
15 | satellite crime lab in Pekin; he
assisted in designing and | ||||||
16 | moving that laboratory to its present location in Morton; he | ||||||
17 | supervised crime scene technicians in the northern half of | ||||||
18 | Illinois and
taught crime scene and death investigation classes | ||||||
19 | throughout Illinois, including at Western Illinois
University, | ||||||
20 | the University of Illinois at Springfield, Sangamon State | ||||||
21 | University, Illinois Central
College, and the Illinois State | ||||||
22 | Police Academy in Springfield; he then became a crime scene |

1 | investigator for the Tazewell and Woodford Counties
State's | ||||||
2 | Attorneys' offices; and | ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Robert Dubois was appointed the Chief Deputy | ||||||
4 | Corner of Tazewell County; he was
elected Tazewell County | ||||||
5 | Corner in 1996, and held the position until his retirement in | ||||||
6 | 2004; and | ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Robert Dubois enjoyed photography, gardening, | ||||||
8 | woodworking, and crossword
puzzles; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Robert Dubois was preceded in death by his | ||||||
10 | parents; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Robert Dubois is survived by his wife of 52 years, | ||||||
12 | Martha Anne Dray; his children, Mary Theresa (Bart) Penn and | ||||||
13 | Anthony
Robert (Michelle) Dubois; his grandchildren, Adam | ||||||
14 | Joseph Penn, Evan Lee Penn,
Joseph William Dubois, and Faith | ||||||
15 | Nicole Dubois; and his great-grandson Levi James Penn; | ||||||
16 | therefore, be it

17 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
18 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
19 | mourn the passing of Robert Dubois, and extend our sincere | ||||||
20 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
21 | him; and be it further
