HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Illinois House of Representatives is pleased to congratulate the Rochester High School Girls Soccer team, the Rockets, on the occasion of winning the 2016 Class 2A State Soccer Title; and

WHEREAS, The Rochester Rockets defeated Deerfield High School 4-0 on June 4, 2016 at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium at North Central College in Naperville to win the State Title; the Rockets scored twice in each half of the game; and

WHEREAS, This championship title is the second straight title for the Rochester Rockets after they won the Class 1A championship in 2015 and the third in the school's history; the Rochester Rockets first won the championship in 2008; and

WHEREAS, The Rochester Rockets finished their season with an impressive record of 25-2-1; and

WHEREAS, The incredibly hardworking members of the Rochester Rockets are Maddie Gleeson, Emily Wollet, Aspen Thomas, Katie Cochran, Mady Schmidt, Aly Crum, Julia Meadows, Amanda Williams, Ruth Moore, Kylie Tucker, Ally Milnes, Baylee Smith, Riley Ross, Becca Jostes, Meagan McNicholas, Kelsey Barron, Jamie Riedle, Maddie Capps, Maisyn Garland, Christen Campbell, Emma Hughes, and Emma Chapman; the team's Head Coach is Chad Kutscher and the Assistant Coaches are Brent Stuckey, Megan DeBarr, and Lauren Bushkill; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Rochester High School Girls Soccer team, the Rockets, on the occasion of winning the 2016 Class 2A State Championship Title and wish them many more years of success on and off the field; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Rochester Rockets as an expression of our heartfelt congratulations on another hard-won championship title.
